At Mariposa Community Land Trust, our vision is to create a place where people can reconnect with nature, find adventure, and build a deeper appreciation for the land around them.

What was once a caliche quarry is being transformed into a unique outdoor destination that balances conservation, recreation, education, and community. We believe that open spaces have the power to inspire curiosity, improve well-being, and bring people together.

As Mariposa continues to grow, our goal is to develop opportunities for hiking, trail running, camping, outdoor learning, conservation projects, wellness programs, and nature-based experiences while protecting the beauty and character of the property for future generations.

Through partnerships, volunteers, supporters, and organizations like Sargent Adventures, we are working to create a sustainable model that allows people to enjoy the land while helping preserve it.

We envision a future where Mariposa serves as a gateway to the outdoors—a place where families can explore, runners can train, campers can unplug, students can learn, and visitors can experience the beauty of the Texas Panhandle.
